Golden Hour in the Fall

Something my business has done for the past 30 years is to only ever take photographs of one family per day during the fall. Clients often ask me why I don't schedule more than one photography session per day during my busiest season. Every single time the answer is exactly the same.

Autumn, and specifically autumn in Edmonton, is the most vibrant and beautiful season our city has to offer. For approximately one hour each evening there is a window where photos come across as warmly and vibrantly as possible. I pride myself on ensuring that each client can have their photography session during this time of the day.

Golden hour, our main photography time during the fall, provides us with an opportunity to take photos that will give the wow factor that everyone wants. If I were to take multiple clients on per day, I would only be able to offer this incredible timing where the twilight is perfect to one of those clients.

In my line of work you need to always pride yourself on ensuring that every client has an equal experience. It is for this exact reason that we limit the amount of clients that we can take on every year during autumn.
